Andrea J. Duncan
Ms. Duncan obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with Distinction) from Carleton University in 1990, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Dalhousie University in 1993. She was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1994, became a Family Law Mediator in 2000, and was trained in Collaborative Family Law in 2003. Most recently, she received training in preparing “Hear the Child” Reports. She feels privileged to be able to articulate the views of children involved in the family law process on their behalf.
Ms. Duncan’s primary area of practice has always been family law. She has gained a wide range of experience and expertise in family law litigation, mediation, and negotiation. It is her firm belief that everything has a solution, and she works hard with her clients to meet their individual needs.
In addition to practicing law, Ms. Duncan has been a guest lecturer for the Professional Legal Training Course, a guest speaker and moot court judge at the University of Victoria Law School, and an instructor for the Camosun College Legal Assistant program. She has also been a member of the Employment and Assistance Appeal Tribunal, and the Property Assessment Review Panel.
Ms. Duncan’s most important and rewarding role is as parent to her two daughters.
